The Untamed Lover

May 14, 2016

How sad it must be for the Sun,
never be able, to be one with the other stars,
to shine day long; and blanket on the night from fellow stellars,
does he refrain?

how brave it must be for the Wind,
to romance the leaf, and fall in hope,
only to never return,
or to return and find its old lover shed off,
does she frown?

does the river complain of its fate?
clinging to the delta, a little shy to losing its identity forever;

a hopeless romantic I am,
did I tell you, oh dear?

an untamed lover, a loner in despair,
near, yet not there,
could I sway you, oh dear?

a diehard romantic,
a tamed phoenix,
I rise;
the love, the bait,
the trap, the fate,
I, be the Romeo in disguise.
